Introducing PELF: Pass Enfant Langue Française
We are thrilled to announce PELF (Pass Enfant Langue Française), a new French course designed specifically for young French learners!
If your child meets the following:
- is between 6 and 11 year-old
- holds French nationality and is on the register
- resides in Hong Kong or Macau*
- is not enrolled in a French educational institution (e.g., LFI, Les Petits Lascars)
- does not use French frequently in daily life
- live at a distance from branches of Alliance Française Hong Kong
Then your child is exactly who we’re looking for!
What is PELF?
PELF (Pass Enfant Langue Française) is an innovative learning initiative
launched by the MAEE (Ministère de l'Europe et des Affaires étrangères). PELF targets “FrancoKids”, meaning French children
living abroad, who are distant from the French language. The course is designed as a springboard to open their path to learning French.
What Does PELF Offer?
PELF provides free French courses in an extracurricular context, including:
- Online Courses
- Small Group Classes: Maximum of 6 children, divided by level and/or age group
- Schedule: 20 hours of classes
- Course Content: Fun and educational activities tailored for “FrancoKids”
How to Register?
If your child meets the above criteria, please download the form below (in Word or PDF format) and return it duly completed to adrien.lefevre@afhongkong.org by 23 September 2024 at the latest. PELF will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
*Eligible children residing in Shenzhen may still fill in the registration form; however, we will contact you once an agreement has been established with Alliance Française de Shenzhen.
